Projection
4-7 Round Day 3Athletic defensive back prospect with versatility and impressive playmaking skills. On the smaller side, but well-built. Best suited for a cornerback spot. However, shows ability to move around the secondary and make plays regardless of alignment. Very good athlete. Verified 4.55 40, 4.03 shuttle, and 35.8-inch vertical. Explosiveness is evident on tape. Closes on the ball fast. Shows good recovery speed when covering vertical passing game. Natural playmaker with ballhawking traits. Good ball skills. Dangerous with the ball in his hands, whether after an INT or in the return game. Physical player with a high motor. Provides the big hit from time to time. Lacks ideal size. Will be at a physical disadvantage against big receivers in college, particularly in the red zone. Needs to clean up tackling technique and consistency. Gambles a bit too much at times. Must harness enthusiasm for hunting for the big play. Positional fit in college might take some time. Late-round NFL Draft potential.
