Projection
Power-5 StarterDynamic multi-purpose athlete who could play either side of the ball at the Power 5 level. Lacks ideal size and owns a limited frame, but athletic and well-built relative to listed height and weight. Terrific athleticism verified in a testing environment that manifests on the field (4.51 40, 4.00 shuttle, 35-inch vertical). Has done it all in high school, lining up at receiver, running back, and cornerback, while returning kicks. Capable of playing receiver or cornerback in college, while providing a dangerous return game option as well. Plays with terrific lateral mobility. Dangerous with the ball in his hands. Flashes impressive burst and great top-end speed, particularly for a shorter prospect. Outstanding ball skills. Displays impressive high-pointing ability given his height. Redirects quickly. Possesses surprising hitting power on defense. Lack of height will hurt in certain situations regardless of positional home in college. Bigger receivers will create red-zone issues at corner; longer DB's could harness quickness off the line at receiver. Limited frame puts a lower ceiling on physical development. Occasionally sacrifices tackling technique on defense. Likely will need time to hone position-specific skill once he arrives at a full-time positional home in college. Athletic, playmaking prospect who defines "football player" tag and possesses good bloodlines. Could become a Power 5 starter with late-round NFL Draft potential.
