Projection
First RoundGreat height and frame for the position. Wears mass well and still has space for more in college. Extremely high-floor offensive line prospect with requisite size, movement ability, and rare pedigree. Polished technically relative to most offensive tackles coming out of high school. Shows an ease of motion that is not common for players of his size. Flexible and natural bender who plays impressively low relative to center of gravity. Flashes point-of-attack punch and functional strength to finish blocks in the run game. Aware and alert with good movement ability in pass protection. Missed entire junior season with a shoulder injury (labrum), but returned in full form as a senior, perhaps showing even more of a mean streak as a drive-blocker. Will face an adjustment in competition level going from Texas private school ranks to the high-major level. True bookend left tackle prospect who could realistically play just about anywhere you need him on the O-line. One of the highest-floor prospects in the 2021 class, regardless of position, with an accompanying ceiling in the NFL Draft's first round.
