Lean, athletic build with some space to add bulk. Active edge defender who could fit multiple schemes as an edge-bending pass-rusher, but size may require a more traditional off-the-line LB role. Bursts off the line of scrimmage. Has provided outstanding production for a state power in Texas Class 5A. Closes fast. Dangerous chasing from backside. High ceiling as a pass-rusher. Gets low off the edge and runs the arc naturally. Pursues downfield when needed. Has played odd-front end in four-point stance, so is accustomed to playing above listed size vs. heavier opponents. However, lacks ideal size at point of attack. Will need to diversify pass-rushing repertoire in college to complement motor and on-field athleticism. Occasionally gets washed out in the ground game. Must add overall bulk to lean, athletic frame to combat bigger, stronger opponents, especially in the run game. Can improve hand violence and disengaging ability. Would likely face learning curve -- especially in coverage -- if moving to traditional LB role. Productive pass-rusher with a nose for the ball who may provide scheme versatility and could be a Power 5 impact player with NFL Draft potential.
