Comparison

Forrest Lamp Los Angeles Chargers

Possesses adequate height and length with little to no bad weight on his frame. Isn't very broad through his upper body, but should be able to max out over 300 pounds after time in a FBS level strength and nutrition program. A former defensive end, Anderson is one of the most athletic offensive linemen not just in the 2020 cycle, but in several years. Has exceptional short area quickness, which shows up both on the field and in combine settings. That quickness allows him to be an elite blocker at the second level. Playing right tackle for his high school, Anderson flies off the snap and consistently shows the ability to reach, radar, cover up and finish linebackers, making for big holes in run game. Anderson is even quick enough to reach cornerbacks on screen plays, something you rarely if ever see from a high school offensive lineman. Despite his high level movement skills, Anderson is far from a finesse player, as he routinely finishes blocks with violence and authority. He also shows high level awareness and peripheral vision as a pass blocker. With 2018 being his first season at offensive tackle, Anderson still is developing his pass set technique and will need to continue to progress on that front along with improving his hand placement. He's athletic enough to play tackle in college but likely projects on the inside at the NFL level. The Dallas area prospect offers unique positional versatility with the feet and physicality to play multiple spots on an offensive front. Anderson may need a redshirt year like most offensive linemen, but he possesses one of the higher upsides among offensive linemen in the 2020 cycle and projects as a mutli-year starter with all-conference, All-American and first round potential.
