Projection
4-7 Round Day 3Tall and long and has added some bulk to his frame over the past year. Has long arms and an angular build. Fluid mover and tests as an average athlete among top prospects at defensive end. Plays both sides of the ball for Providence Day, working at tight end and defensive end. Has the flexibility to play with good pad level and body lean, despite being inconsistent there at times. Shows nice hands and ability to shed blockers. Has an effective rip and swim move. Uses his range and length in setting the edge and corralling ball carriers in pursuit. Could grow into a defensive tackle at his current size or stay as a big, edge-setting defensive end. Isn’t going to blow you away from an initial quickness or speed standpoint as an edge player. Projects as a multi-year Power 5 starter with the upside of developing into a NFL draft pick.
