Scouting Report

Evaluated 12/15/2022

Andrew Ivins
Andrew Ivins Southeast Recruiting Analyst

A new-age scatback that can impact the game as a ball carrier, a pass catcher and a return man. Played a huge part in Homestead’s magical 2022 campaign as he scored over 15 touchdowns for Florida’s eventual 3M runner-up. Naturally low center of gravity combined with an elite burst and strong contact balance make it extremely difficult for defenders to get him on the ground. Has true one-cut and go capabilities with his track speed (went 10.89 in the 100-meter dash as a sophomore), but can also dance his way out of trouble and isn’t afraid to reverse the field in hopes of finding green grass. Totaled 761 receiving yards as a sophomore and has proven to be a rather difficult cover on the 7-on-7 circuit over the years, which suggests that he could eventually handle a high-volume of targets on Saturdays and serve as more than just a check-down option. Size might deter some as he hasn’t measured north of 5-foot-9, but could be a YAC machine at the Power Five level with his tempo and moves. Likely to get looks as both a kick and punt returner at the school of his choice after finding the end zone multiple times on special teams throughout prep career. NFL upside.

2021: Totaled 962 rushing yards, 761 receiving yards and 13 TDs for a Homestead program that went 11-2 in Florida’s second-highest classification. Scored multiple times via punt and kick returns, including against St. Thomas Aquinas in the postseason.
