Possesses good height and length with a slender frame. Will need to continue adding bulk once he gets in a FBS level strength and conditioning program. Lacks verified times, but appears to have well above average to very good long speed. Has an easy gait and shows the ability to run away from the opposition in the open field. Is one of the more prolific pass defenders nationally in the 2020 cycle with 8 interceptions and 21 pass breakups in just 12 games as a junior. Has exceptional instincts and ball skills at cornerback. Shows high-level anticipation in reading the receiver and jumping shorter routes. Triggers and breaks on the ball with outstanding quickness. Effortlessly locates and tracks the ball downfield, oftentimes finding the ball earlier than the opposing wide receiver. Ball skills are some of the best we’ve seen on video in the 2020 cycle. Plays with aggression and confidence, which also transfers over into defending the quick game and tackling in space. Will need to continue adding strength to his frame to help in that regard at the next level. Can also continue improving his press man coverage. Projects as a multi-year starter with upside of developing into an early round draft pick.
