Projection
2-3 Round Day 2Jackson is one of the most versatile defensive lineman in the country and could play inside or outside at the next level. Very strong kid, quick first step, advanced technique and much better athletically then given credit for. A natural pass rusher and has a variety of moves to beat an opposing lineman. Has the strength to hold up at the point of attack against the run, has strong hands and does a great job disengaging from a guard/tackle. Plays hard with a tremendous motor and will run down plays from behind or run away from him. Ideal fit as a rush end in a 3-4 scheme but could slide inside as a three-tech in the right system. Has really improved his overall athleticism in the last year and is very quick for a 260+ pound defensive end. Projects as an upper tier Power 5 starter and future high-round NFL draft pick.
