Athletic, wiry linebacker with good speed and awareness. Built for today's era of spread football. Long and athletic enough to play all three downs with some position versatility. Explosive on contact. Occasional pass rush ability off edge with good drive off ball and ability to bend against bigger blockers. Redirects with ease. Good instincts but raw with technique. Attacks football in tight quarters or in space with plus-ball skills relative to position. Can affect passing game in coverage and wall off inside receivers, run with tight ends or cover backs out of backfield within reason. Small sample downhill or in the wash with long way to go at point of attack against interior blockers. Should eventually fill out and become multi-year starter at high-end Power 5 program. Early flashes and late consistency on national stage could lead to Day 2 selection when the NFL comes calling.
